As standard your new Flex Swing-Away Tent comes with everything you need to fit directly to any vehicle equipped with a 2in receiver, i.e. Ford Ranger Pickup. In this configuration the Swing-Away tent may need to be lowered to the horizontal position to access the boot/storage area of the vehicle. For vehicles with side opening doors such as Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1&2 and all vans the additional Swing-Away arm will be required to access the rear of the vehicle.
Pre-2014 Land Rover Defender. Our Swing-away arms also fit into a 2in receiver hitch, and we supply a special NAS step with an extended 2in receiver to clear the rear mounted spare wheel. You will require both items to successfully mount a Swing-Away Tent.
Discovery 1&2. After market 2in receivers are available for these vehicles and with one of our Swing-Away arms fitted there is sufficient clearance for the standard spare wheel.
For vans, motorhomes other vehicles fitted with aftermarket towbars with bolt on towballs.We offer a Swing-Away arm that replaces the bolt on towball, bolted directly to the towbar with the required 2in receiver to accept our Flex Swing-Away tent.
For cars and other vehicles with fixed tow balls. We offer our GT Mini Swing -Away Tent option – link to inflatable tent.
